Drag racing is a race to see who can travel a certain distance the fastest. The sport of drag racing became organized in the 1950s with the creation of the NHRA. Drag racing is done by all types of cars, ranging from the common street car to specially built dragsters. These specially built dragsters can reach speeds of up to 330mph and can be heard up to 8 miles away. Drag racing is organized into brackets, with two cars facing off head to head with the winner moving on to the next round.
